Installed a Voyager above the rear window of the 31' Classic and took power from the reading light over the street side twin bed with an on/off switch so it is not on all the time. Similar install on our 23D.

RV Rearview Camera installed and operating. I hooked it into the little light over the bed complete with its own switch and LED. Establishing the IPhone connection was a bit tricky for me but there was a kid around so it was done in jig time. Jim

I copied this from a previous post in "what did you get for your trailer today".

The inside installation has really performed well. The router sits up front in the cupboard next to the radio.

EsiCam EH05

Has anyone had any experience with the EsiCam product?

http://www.amazon.com/EsiCam-Portabl.../dp/B0188CGMWG

Appears to have good reviews on Amazon.

I'm curious about it too. The reviews on Amazon seem a bit suspect if you look closely, so I'd like to hear from someone here that has tried it.

I have a garmin 760 LMT gps. Does anyone know if the voyager back up camera will sync with a garmin 760 LMT gps video screen? Or, do you have to have the voyager screen to sync with the voyager camera.

Mine is being installed at Camping World on April 11th. Originally was going with a less expensive alternative but the signal issues on Aluminum brought me back to digital Voyager.

FYI, this was just announced a couple weeks ago. I have no experience with it. A bit pricey.....

Pricey yes, but a good idea. Now they should partner with Rand McNally to integrate with their RV GPS rather than continue to support their own version. Oh - and make it all retroactive to 2013 models 😀

And they should add trailer tires to the TPMS.

Updates on Wireless back-up cameras?

And while we're at it - put the magical GPS/camera screen on the center dash replacing the speedo. Love my Duramax but I've got a useless waste of space in front of me with 6" dials for speed and RPMs which could be small digital read outs leaving plenty of space for a 9" screen for important stuff. 😀

From the article: "Prices start at $999 (not including tax, labor and installation)." What's the difference between labor and installation?

Does someone actually give birth to the cameras?

Beats me. The writeup must have come out of the department of redundancy department.

I have https://www.rvrearviewcamera.com/ in my Safari, which connects wirelessly to my iPhone. See post 339 of this thread. The cost was around $500 last year. (I don't have the actual numbers right now.) I installed it myself as shown in post 339.

We have had no issues with the Voyager rear camera system in either Airstream or tow vehicle. However, my experience is that one must use the "matching" display for the trailer camera.

The Esicam on Amazon system looks very similar to the rvrearviewcamera.com system. Can anyone with either system comment?

I don't think they're really all that similar, other than both being backup/rear view camera solutions. The rvrearviewcamera.com system uses a router between the camera and smartphone, while the other one has the Wi-Fi built into the camera. While that might be a good idea, that means the signal has further to travel and it might introduce some delay. It also appears to be a Chinese company, and the Amazon reviews appear to be mostly from people representing them (poor English), or from people that got a free one for their "unbiased" review. The folks who use the rvrearviewcamera.com solution seem to really like it.

I don't have either one, and am still researching and trying to decide if I even need one. I've been doing fine without it so far.

Oh, man, I hate those "unbiased reviews" of products given to them for free at a discount. Every time I see one of those on Amazon, no matter how well or poorly it is written, I mark it as "unhelpful."

Oh, and I almost never buy that product.

Received the Esicam on Monday and checked it out today. 1. It is a magnet in the base which anchors it quite firmly (upside down) on a small steel pad a mounted under the cabinet (camera is pointed out the rear window of a 20' Bambi). Ran down some fairly rough roads and the camera remained in place. 2. The signal I received in my RAM 1500 Quad Cab was with a flaw. Software allowed for me to flip the picture, take stills, and record. The signal delay was unnoticeable for me.

For the price it seems to be a very economical and easily installed solution.
