I did the same with a JBL sound bar but i used a Pyle LCD screen with built in DVD and mounted an Apple TV to the wall behind the TV. I replaced the sony xplod head unit with a Pioneer that does bluetooth and streaming (music only). If I wanted to get fancy, I could feed the head unit with surrounds and sub when watching TV but we don't watch enough to make it worth the effort.
