TV on battery power?

Newbie here, getting classic ready for first camp trip. Tried to turn the TV on while on battery power. It wouldn't turn on. radio worked, lights worked, am I missing something. TV worked great at the dealer walk through.
I appreciate the help.

the tele will NOT work from ANY AC current outlet on battery power...

in fact NONE of the 115v AC outlets are HOT on battery power...

(for example is the MICROWAVE clock/message center ON?)

unless the unit came with the 'inverter' package, in which case 3-4 AC outlets have juice.
_____________

the tele WILL WORK using the round 12v outlet (right near the antenna/cable connection), with a small (150watt) inverter...

the typical lcd 19 inch used in these trailers draws about 90-110 watts, so WATCH the battery levels...

(most of the tv sets have an "ENERGY SAVER" mode in the set up/menu that will reduce power consumption to 60-70 watts...)

cheers

thank you for the quick reply! Now I can work on other pre-camp items and not worry about the TV

Congrats on your new Airstream. Glad to hear from a fellow East Virginian.
