TV Mount that Tilts

The television mount on our escape pod works well, extending and pivoting to both the dinette and the bed. It does not, however, allow for downward tilt. When we are watching it while in bed, since we are so much lower than the screen, the image and color are distorted. I need to fabricate a piece for the bracket that allows about a 25 degree tilt. Has anyone seen a solution or created one themselves?

if you post a picture or two of your current setup it would help answer this question. I am sure there is something available to help you.

The mount that has been used in the 19' the past few years allows for downward tilt. Close to where it attaches to the TV is a pin with a ring through it. Pulling this pin out allows the TV to tilt. If your mount doesn't have this feature you could probably get the current model mount from Airstream.

There's got to be a mount that tilts.

Look for "Vesa mounts", That's the standard that all modern TVs are drilled for.

I use a Sanus tv mount that swings out from the wall, rotates, and tilts.
When towing, I have two bungee cords that hold it firmly against the wall. Best Buy and other places have them. It comes with a 2 link extension arm so it can have a very wide range of motion. I did not need the wide range and just used one link of the arm. It is sturdier w just one link.

When searching for tilting TV mounts, look for "Full Articulating." I researched all of them looking for a tilting mount for my Camco Wave 8 Heater and found several good ones. Even some that would swing 180 degrees and tilt. I wanted to heat both ends of the trailer with one heater.

There certainly are ones available that tilt as well as swing.

I recently bought one from Costco for our bedroom at home.

I have a smallish home gym set up in an L shaped extension off ur master bedroom and the tv swings around to either area - but it can also be swung vertically and locked into position as well as swinging horizontally.

This was Costco in Canada , so may be different than what you can get from Costco in the US - but if anything, you likely have more choices that us!

It was inexpensive yet very sturdy.

most mounts tilt a bit
often the nylon bearing is VERY stiff.

i suggest that you take it off the wall, dismount the LCD tv and look at it is bright light.

then you can see which parts move and be able to back off the screw for the nylon tilt

I had great difficulty trying to tilt my tv and thought maybe it did not have that capability. After careful examination I found this pin. It also helped greatly to apply some silicon spray to the bracket.
