TV in the Airstream

I would like some suggestions on getting some TV entertainment in the Airstream. We have a 1968 Tradewind and the park where we will be spending quite a bit of time has cable hook up. We have a flat screen that will be idea for this, just needing to get some ideas as to what is needed to hook up to the cable... connectors, where to route the cable to the outside of the trailer, etc. any help would be greatly appreciated. We will be staying at the park for the Labor Day holiday and want to be ready!

We bought a satellite dish so we can get the same programming as if we were at home. It seemed a bit overwhelming in the beginning but after learning how to hook it up, it is quite easy. Just take your receiver from home and go..

It does not have to be fancy, just run a piece of TV coax cable from your television input to the outside, using whatever locations and methods work in your specific rig. Leave a few inches exposed, probably near where you have other hookup connections, in the roadside rear of the trailer. Then have a barrel coax connector on the outside few inches, and another piece of coax which will go from the park connector to the one you have installed on the rig. Screw it all together when you get there, and your hookup is complete.

You will need to learn how to use the Auto Tune setup on your television, and that will pick up all the stations your park cable system provides. That needs to be done for each and every park as the stations and locations are different on every cable system. See your television instruction manual for how to do that, each is slightly different.

Thanks idroba, will try and get in there tomorrow and figure out the best place to route the coax.
