Television sound through stereo?

Recently acquired a 2021 Classic 30. In our old 2019 27 foot Flying Cloud, the television was able to play through the Clarion stereo when AUX input selected. Not so on the new one with the Fusion stereo. Solutions?

Same on the 2020 23FB FC with the Sony player and JL receiver. You can install a converter between the Sony digital coax output and the JL rca inputs or swap out the Sony for a Bluetooth model. That’s the only way I could figure to play music CD’s except through the cheapish LG TV (which I also swapped out because it had no audio output for a soundbar).
Jackson Center, how CHEAP can you be? You saved about $20 when you deleted this feature!!!!!!

I was just reading the 2021 Classic owners manual looking for something else & read this; not sure if it helps you but thought I would post:

"The Blu-ray player is the priority source for the sound bar if both the Blu-ray player and TV tuner are on. The Blu-ray player will need to be powered off for the sound bar to prioritize the TV tuner."

Thanks, AnnaBelle33. The 30 foot Classic does not have a sound bar. The AV set up is quite different. [emoji846]

Just curious, cirrusaly (I like your forum name, BTW) do you get any kind of over the air signals?
In a side by side test, my truck pulled in six strong FM channels, compared to one through the A-S Wineguard/JL combo. I called the suppliers, expecting some first class finger pointing, but neither answered or called back. I would have been better served with an empty cabinet to store my crank-up emergency radio!

My radio works really well; strong signals. The caveat is I’ve only had the rig for a little over a week now, in major Florida metro areas (Tampa/Orlando/Jax/Miami).

Thanks for the OTA signal perspective, Cirrusaly. I’ve always had a gut feeling it was not right, despite living in a fringe area of FL and the western mountains of NC. I will try again on the equipment suppliers, and then contact the mothership. It’s very disappointing that this got past their “quality control“. We had a far better system in our $20k SOB.

signal booster on?

I may have missed it, but did you have the signal booster turned on for the radio, usually jus ta little push button panel located behind your television. If you want to turn the radio off and watch cable TV (if you have a cable hook up at the park) be sure to turn the booster off, it will interfere with the cable TV.

On our 2019 30’ Classic we need to pair the TV with the stereo via Bluetooth. Turn on TV...turn on stereo...put stereo in paring mode and select TV from list.

I might be wrong, but I think the signal booster is only for OTA TV reception. My FM stereo receives well regardless of button position.

Regarding the signal amplifier, I thought I had posted, but my iPhone ate it.
I do have it turned on: documentation and other threads confirm it serves both the Telly and the radio. No real difference compared to leaving it off.
But thanks for the suggestion.

Update on the 23FB FC system:
The wall plate says Winegard, and the roof mount says King Omnipro.
Winegard confirms the Omnipro is not “theirs”.
King tells me the Omnipro does not work for AM and is marginal for FM.
Airstream told me there was a whip type antenna for the radio. I sure don’t see it, and there is a lead marked “RAD” running into the nether depths from the Winegard “power injector”.
Right now, I’m relying on the Airstream rep to get this sorted out. (He came through for me on a wiring issue in our previous trailer.) I’ll post the resolution when I get it.
Out of curiosity, how many other Flying Cloud owners have the Omnipro exterior/Winegard wall plate/JL head unit combination? Do you get radio reception?
Thanks for all the previous comments. This issue is frustrating, because the system behavior changes in terms of overall reception, effect of overhead lights, and boost from the power injector, but it has never been close to acceptable.

I've had the same issue with my 2020 International 23FB. I stumbled across this in the owner's manual, in the Q&A section:

"2. How do I receive TV audio through my overhead stereo speakers?

Answer: TV must be on. Locate the source button on your radio/stereo. Press (Source/Off) repeatedly until CD appears. Press the model/return button until CD2 appears. To adjust volume, use the volume knob of your stereo receiver."

I attempted this procedure yesterday, but CD was not an option using the source button as noted above. I'm thinking I need a better TV with bluetooth.

That's exactly what you need. The stock LG TV with only one HDMI connection and one earplug outlet, is total junk. It maybe costs fifty bucks.

We just took delivery of the same 2021 Classic 30RBT this month. The owners manual states this can be done on page 8-30 item #2. But they did not run an optical cable from the Samsung TV to the Fusion that would allow this to work. And I assume they did not run the HDMI through the Fusion which would only support the BluRay. Dealer told me the OM was incorrect.

Since I do not see a Bluetooth option on the Samsung TV, I assume the only solution is to disassemble the AV 'cabinet' and run an optical cable from the TV to the Fusion. Otherwise purchase/install a sound bar.

I have a 2021 Classic 33. I am able to do the OP’s original issue by following the owners manual. All worked for me. See page 5-5 bottom left.

Yep, the 2021 33 is awesome! We almost selected that model. The original post and I own the 2021 30, which has a very different A/V installation. No projector. No sound bar. The manual in the back section 8-3 does not differentiate between the 30 and the 33 like it does in section 5-5 with photos. I would expect the 33 projector audio works with the sound bar and rear surround speakers as documented.

My bad. I assumed it was the same. Sorry about that. I’ll start researching that set up. Worst case scenario, call tech support - I’ve had great success with doing that.
