Sound system fried, help please.

Hello everyone,
Well my Sony MEX-DV2200 player has fried itself. I do not seem to be able to find a replacement that works the system the same way. Everything is line out and obviously for the TV to play through the sound system, I need something with a line in.
Anybody had the same issues and solved the problem, Airstream has nothing to offer in help.
The small cabinet in the 25’ where this player was houses has no air flow, so I have placed two aluminum circular vents in it to help with cooling for the replacement.
So anyone here got some nice news for me ???????
Cheers,
James.

So, mine is an older model Sony, and I had to buy a separate line out module. I had a hard time finding it at the time, as the radio itself was out of production, but I did find one. I'll look and see if they are out there for yours.

Hi James, I took the opportunity to replace everything and go with a DVD/TV with Soundbar and a dedicated music / bluetooth enabled automotive head unit for music. Crutchfield is a great resource as mentioned. See this thread:https://www.airforums.com/forums/f45...ml#post2637610

Out of 4 Airstreams I have never used the built-in stereo for very obvious reasons. I simply disconnect the power to it and keep the cover on. I upgrade the cheap TV to a smart TV and install a Bose sound bar.

Thank you for your help here. I have a friend who is more knowledgeable than I am with electronics, I have asked him to go over what you have said.
I have found that the Sony 2100 model is for some reason still available. Need to find out what differences there are between the two.
Cheers,
James.
