Help - I am looking for a very small SMART TV. It seems like the smallest I have come across is a 32". I would like one under 20". Does anyone have a recommendation?
BIG THANKS!

Hello? Anybody out there with a small SMART TV in their Airstream? I am still looking for a recommendation.
Thanks,

We put a 28" Vizio Smart TV in Lucy a couple of months ago. They had it at Sam's Club for $178. We replaced her OEM 28" Samsung. Now we can watch NetFlix and Amazon Video direct without any hook-up or configuration.

By SMART TV, if you mean be able to get NetFlix, YouTube, Pandora, etc. - consider just getting an Apple TV or a Roku. Or a DVD player with those apps.

The Smart TV is seamless, and we find it superior to having to connect and configure stuff.

We have yet to stay at a RV park that had enough band width to search the internet normally much less stream movies. We also have a 32 inch smart tv and thought it was a cool idea.

I have never seen a smart tv smaller than about 26". Are you sure they even sell them in the US?

When we stream Amazon or NetFlix on Lucy's Smart TV, we are usually using the FoxFi hot spot on SuEllyn's Android smart phone.

Last year, when we were looking for a Smart TV for Lucy, the smallest that we could find was a 32". Then late last year, we came across the Vizio 28" Smart TV.

Agree with Moflash, without good wifi smart is useless. I use Dish Tailgater, pay as you go TV with little hassle, all you need is an unobtrusive view of the southern sky.

We have two in our 23D international. A 28" Samsung in living area and a 22" in the bedroom.

We can stream Netflix from our iPhone directly to the Apple TV that is connected to our Samsung 40 inch 4K Smart TV. It works great for us, as long as we have a decent cell signal. I have one of the older unlimited data packages from AT&T. I also installed a wireless router setup (from Jefa Tech) with the 8.5db gain omni directional antenna that does make a big different when in a campground with a marginal WiFi signal.

Hmmm,
Smart TV?
That's kind of an oxymoron isn't it?

I posted a similar question in the 23fb forum. Looking for a direct replacement. Agree RV wyfi are crap. I just installed an Airstream Connect and got it working Monday with a download speed of 25 bps. That should be enough

I am following the thread as I want to put in a 2nd tv in our 93 Classic Limited. I don't know anything about Smart TV. I can go 24" wide maybe a bit more.

I do have a DISH Tailgater, but it only works with the Dish satellite stations, as far as I know.

Hi

Given the small size and low cost of something like a Roku or Fire TV ( I prefer the Roku), I'm not at all sure there is any real reason to go with a TV that has streaming built in. Every one I've ever owned has been more than a little bit challenged.

Get a reasonable conventional TV. Its tough enough these days to find a small one that isn't trash. Small seems to mean "under 50 inches" these days.

If you want to spend extra, put the money into one that is designed to work on 12V power. Buy a box or stick of your choice and tape it to the back of the TV. Power it from the USB port on the back of the TV (or an HDMI with power) . Problem solved.

Don’t quote me on this but I believe any TV larger than the little guy that comes in the bedroom (25”?) is a smart model now a days. Definitely the big guys are all standard “smart”

Hi

I know absolutely nothing about this store. However

https://www.my12voltstore.com/12_volt_tv_s/79.htm

has a pretty good spread of 12V powered TV's. Not running the inverter to watch TV .... that's a good thing

I have a 24' Vizio in the home bedroom. (Smart/1080P)
I recall it was $120 five years ago. Even has a digital fiber audio out for a soundbar.

A 32” Samsung Series 5 SMART tv is what we chose. It just fits in the living area of a 25’ Airstream, not sure about others. It includes Apple TV INTEGRATED into the set (with free software upgrade) along with Samsung’s pretty good UI for the usual streaming services. It’s full HD at 1080p. A vast improvement over the stock TV.

It also has optical out which allows you to easily install a sound bar over the TV. That, also, makes a big difference.
