SiriusXM Antenna Placement

Hi,

I bought the $40 module with small square antenna. Most places inside the 2019 FC 25FB would get no signal but then I just placed it on the ledge of one of the sky light windows and viola! It seems to work fine!

For now I guess or has anyone had continued puck with an indoor install such as this for the long term? Wires still exposed so don't want to go further with hiding etc..

IF I drill any holes in the skin I will plan it out better. As-is I can move it around and even outside if need be...

BTW I connected the module by threading through the hole on top of the DVD unit that has the power cords so no modifications of any sort so far....

Thanks!

Trav

Well, dunno about the XM antenna, but I mounted my router upside down with #M velcro strips right next to the dining room light, and drilled a small hole big enough for the wiring to go into the cabinet with the power outlet and DVD player area. Should be able to do the same with your antenna.

Yup that's where I have mine. The roof mounted one got destroyed from the snow and sun. So I haven't bothered replacing it up there. I just chuck it into the roof window and call it good.
