Round TV Antenna

Our 2015 International Signature does not have a 12v wall receptacle which typically includes the TV signal Amplifier (little green light on/off). There is no access to 12v power anywhere inside this AS. This is because this model AS has ducted air (no access to the rooftop for the up/down antenna) This rooftop antenna is round and requires no turning to capture a HD signal.

This is most likely a "Wineguard" or similar common circle antenna which according to this company spec, requires a 12v amplifier.

If there is a 12v HD TV amplifier in our AS, it's well hidden. Or more likely, there is no amp even though the antenna might be designed to have one for best signal strength.

We think our HD TV reception would be much more stable if we had such an amp as we had in our last AS.

Ideas and comments will be appreciated.....Thanks!

That sounds pretty suprising not to have a powered omni antenna.

Our '16 FC FC with ducted air has the black amp button on the TV jack receptable just behind the TV on the fridge wall. Press in, lights up, etc. We turn it off for cable TV, as per the manual.

Your trailer does indeed have an antenna booster. Depending on the model, it can be located behind the main television, near the inside wall, or under the dinette, on the wall itself.

Our 2015 28 international has the power under the dinette on the outer wall.

It should be up under the dinette on the wall.

Well, thank you all.

You are absolutely correct. Indeed, we do have an antenna booster on the wall under the table, presently visually obstructed by 'stuff'. We are presently connected to cable, and the light was on. No wonder the cable picture was so nasty. Turned off the green light, perfect cable TV.

Unfortunately, we do not have a 12v access input as in our past AS. We miss it having no way to use the TV when not on shore power. Bummer eh!

Turn on the inverter and change into one of the inverter plugs for the TV. Works fine when on battery.

No inverter on this AS as so rare to be away from shore.

Thanks for your solutions!

Sorry. Forgot that is still an option on these. Most have them already. Shouldn't have assumed.
