I have replaced my 19" Sony TV with a new Samsung digital unit. I am trying to replace the power cord from the Sony with the one on the Samsung. The issue is behind the wall holding the TV. The Sony uses a stepdown transformer and I can't get behind the wall to thread the cords. The wall I am talking about is the bulkhead next to the fridge. It looks like the transformer is behind that wall but there are no holes to pull it out. Any ideas?

I have the same issue in the 25 FB we have. It appears to me the fridge needs to be pulled inorder to get at the cord and run a new one.

The transformer may be accessible via the exterior refrigerator service panel and vent. You may find a ledge above and to the right as you reach in the space, and the transformer may be sitting on that. It's an awkward reach. The power connection may be unplugged from the transformer body. Then you can withdraw the transformer from the service panel and pull the power cord back through the hole into the interior.

I talked with Jim at Airstream technical and he said the fridge must be removed. 15 minute job for them, one hour for me. They sure don't make it easy, do they?

Camping World quoted $500 to run a new 110v outlet and TV cable and mount my $250 Samsung. And, that was when I was already paying them to replace my refrigerator. What's wrong with that picture? An hour seems like it's worth your time. As an alternative, maybe a new transformer/inverter placed in the service panel would do the trick.

Wow, Camping World must make all their profits off of service! I decided (actually, my wife did) to just leave the old power cord behind the panel. I pushed both ends of the cord into their respective holes and they are not attached to anything. The drawback to that is that the 19 inch Sony doesn't have a power cord but it is an old analog style TV and needs the special tuner to work. I'll take out the old cord when my fridge needs replacement.
