Replacing 22" Flat Screen in 2011 25' FB

I've seen some info on this but not specific enough to give me confidence to move forward with replacing a 22" installed by factory with a 26" HD I have.

In the back of the unit there is a gold colored Transformer and Sound Suppressor that has a white and red RC plug which plugs into two others of same color and then go into the back of the set and are attached to the speakers. In addition there is a green and yellow wire which attaches to a white wire which appears to run up to the Sony head unit.

So, my questions, I can open the back and take the green and yellow wire which appears to be a ground and attach to the new TV. But is there a simpler and easier way to handle the transformer/sound suppressor than running wires to the factory speakers?

Thanks for any guidance.

Your new TV will work without the audio out wires connected to the trailer stereo. If you leave them unhooked, you will not have stereo sound.

We replaced the small flat screen in the Interstate a couple of years ago, when it was that or find a place for a black box. No.

Being electronically challenged , we had problems getting everything to work correctly, and the stereo system reconnected. Techno-geek son who hooked up the new TV said we needed some piece of something.

We went into a Radio Shack, explained the problem, and purchased a small item which the salesperson then installed/wired/hooked up for us (no charge) and we were on our way. All has worked great ever since.

There apparently are transition pieces, for lack of a better word, for when technology changes. Radio Shack may be a a good resource.

Finished, got the 26" Samsung in fine, actually JUST fits exactly were the 22" was, hooked up a new "Ground Look Isolator" from Radio Shack and no hum throught the stereo. The 22" had one, but it was direct wired into the back of the television. I had taken the TV appart but decided against going further than removing the back panel.

Now the 22" is a nice Christmas Present for someone.

Our 2012 25 FC has a 26"and when I first saw it I thought It would be huge and in the way. It's a nice size though and I like it. The swivel bracket makes it pretty nice.
