Rear Video Installation

Hello,

We're new 2015 Airstream International 30RB owners and are planning our first trip. Looking to get a rear camera installed and wired. Anyone have suggestions on who we could use for installation in the Salisbury/Ocean City area of MD? Thanks!

Honestly it's a pretty simple installation.... you can pull power directly from one of the marker lights externally or you can route the wire under the skin to a freshly drilled hole. It's small wires and you could mount the camera with VHB tape if you want to avoid drilling any holes at all.

I just replaced mine with this unit from Amazon and it works WAY BETTER than the original that came with my trailer (and it was a lot cheaper too): https://amzn.to/3R2pAUa

+1. Super easy. If a camera mount already exists at the rear of the trailer but no operational camera, then it is an extra-special-super-easy installation.

I went with the Haloview RD10. It straps onto the truck's rearview mirror. It has enough reflection that when mounted and unpowered, it works as an normal rearview mirror. I attach it to the mirror at the start of a trip, leave it attached even when unhitched, and remove it at the end of the trip.
