In a pique of outrage I recently ripped out the hand cranked antenna (circa 1849) at the front of my 2003 Classic figuring I could do better.
I built a motorized stainless retractable antenna post in the closet and mounted an antenna. It was damaged and I am looking to replace it. Has anyone used an external antenna on their RV. Preferable something with:
a) Decent range
b) Weather resistant, even at 70mph.
c) Omni-directional.
All the omni's I've look at have pretty horrible specs/reviews. I am willing to entertain a rotator (which which many antennas now come with) but it is more work (you have to look up where the transmitters are and point the antenna in that direction). The uni- or multi- directionals have better specs.
Any comments will be appreciate. BTW I also plan to mount the We-Boost antenna on this post.
