New Sony Radios Battery Icon

Our 2014 Intl Sony Radio has a battery icon on the lower right side of the radio, gradually the icon has been flashing a low battery charge until it went
completely dark, like battery empty, does any one knows anything about this?

Btw, the radio works fine, even if we are dry camping.

Do you have the user guide to the radio? If not get pull the radio out and look up the model number and download the user guide. It could be a back up battery to keep the settings when there is loss of power. These are car radios and not designed for RVs that could have batteries disconnected while in winter storage. My Sony in my 2008 doesn't have this feature.
