LCD and Cold weather?

Does anyone have experience with LCD TVs in cold weather? I am looking at installing one in to save space. My concern is cold weather storage? It gets mighty cold up here in NH in the off months.

I do know that a conventional LCD will go blank if it is cold enough. But they seem to recover with no problems when they warm back up. We have equipment that we use in the field, and some times to get a reading in cold weather we have to warm the display up with small hot air gun to get the reading

Seems prudent to remove the unit during the winter months then, Thanks for the info!

The specs on mine listed storage temps to 10º F. I only need to remove 1 screw and the cables to take it out. OTOH there are a lot of LCDs built into newer vehicles that aren't going to come out without major work so the builders must have faith they will survive.

I agree..Remove it for the winter, besides, you'll get more time to enjoy it inside ~
