Late model FBs have a factory radio problem!

These are the newer units with the microphone above the dinette at the rear.

Airstream hooked up the radios as you would think front speakers in the front of the trailer and rear in the back.

Anyway, If you sink your phone to the radio then try to have a conversation via the microphone, you will discover that the audio conversation only comes out the front speakers (the bedroom) and the mic is at the rear end of the trailer above your dinette and it is impossible to use this way. The speakers have to be wire backward for it to function as intended. Front to the rear and vice versa.

I call Airstream twice and they did not want to her about it and would not even return my calls.

great company!

Anyway I think anyone with these units should return to your dealer and have it fixed at Airstreams expense.

Can you pull the radio out and change the speaker connections so the rear speakers in the dinette area are plugged into the front jacks and the front bedroom are the rear?

The audio systems in Airstreams are terrible designs.

What is the make and model number of your stereo.

Have you tried setting the fader to move the sound to one end of the trailer or another?

The solution is as you suggest to reverse the front and rear speakers. They are crimped, so you have to cut them and rework them.

The fader only silences the front or rear.

I have the Sony Radio.

Maybe because I have a rear bedroom or because our stereo is pioneer but the Bluetooth phone mic and synced speakers are all in the front over the L bench. I would suspect the wiring is standard there fore your front and rear speakers need to be reversed.

I have a 2012 and my BT works fine as wired from the factory. Although there was no microphone from the PO so I had to buy one and plug it in.
