How do I hook up to the antenna?

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but how do I hook up to my '76 excella antenna? It has a 12 volt outlet and a screw a hole. Do I need to change out the whole thing to work for a LCD tv? The tv only has cable type ports for all input/output options. The antenna goes up & down perfectly, so I want to use it! Thanks,
