HDMI Cable End Replacement
We were camping in Tennessee in our 2012 30' Classic two weeks ago when I noticed the HDMI cable has bent from the connector and of course broken. I called A/S Tech support and they told me they have dealers run new cables overhead by removing a couple of panels to feel the new HDMI cable. I thought about pulling a new cable using the existing route and still believe that could be a viable option. Instead, I elected to replace the HDMI end. I checked with Best Buy, HH Gregg, and a local TV repair shop and they all said they had never seen an end replaced and that the cable had to be replaced. I did some online research and found a cable end (female end) with screw connections. I have now removed the bad cable end and replaced it with this female end. I will have to have a regular short HDMI cable to run from the wall to the TV but that sure beats running an all new cable. Just thought I would pass this info along in case someone else breaks the end of their HDMI cable as I did. By the way, already checked it out and it works great. Now everyone is Happy, Happy.
