Over the air HD (OTA HD) is good. If you are too far from a transmitter you will get a signal though..

The only thing special about HD from an antenna standpoint is that most of the stations are in the UHF band. Older trailers had antennas that were only for VHF. My trailer had a Sensar antenna that was only for VHF but they sell the "Wingman" attachment which adds UHF. I get good HD reception from up to 70 miles away at home in the Orlando market with it.

Any antenna which has a UHF loop will do fine with over the air digital HD.
The original antenna on our '65 Caravel picks up over the air digital HD anywhere that it is available.
If the antenna you have gets channels above 13, you should be good to go with a digital flat screen TV. Just be sure to do a channel search every time you set up in a new location.
