For those with a 2024 or 2025. TV audio question

Did the factory reconnect the HDMI input port that one can connect a streaming device allowing the sound to come out of the audio system in the 2024s or 2025s while still getting video to the TVs?

I thought I had read that with the newer units, it was again possible to not have a bunch of adapters, etc and that the HDMI connection using whatever device you chose would once again play through the stereo. True? False?

On my 2024 I could not get the HDMI ARC to function. I've looked at the schematics, the manual, and even physically inspected it. I'm pretty sure since it uses HDMI over RJ45, that gets lost.

What I have done is used and HDMI -> toslink audio extractor. This allows me to run an nvidia shield (or apple tv, etc) in the media center. I use the extractor to output the audio to the toslink input of the media center. The extractor is powered by a free usb port on the shield.

Basically this allows me to use the shield as a media box outputting video to both tvs while playing the audio through the RV speakers. There is no audio delay and it works perfectly. When watching sports, I can even have both tvs on whilst hearing the surround audio. It works beautifully.

I have a 24 Trade Wind and I’ve got my Apple TV plugged into the HDMI port in the rear passenger side top storage. Audio goes to the TV as expected both through the display as well as through the JLAudio head unit.

Thanks for the replies. I wonder what the Tradewind has in it that os1r1's doesn't.

My GT uses a Garmin Fusion® Apollo™ MS-RA770 which does not have an hDMI input. To be fair, I did not check the analog audio inputs, but using optical digital gets me much better audio fidelity.

2024 Gloetrotter.

Apple TV works fine through HDMI ports. The TVs connect via Bluetooth the the Garmin stereo for audio. Works seamlessly.

It does work, but there is a de-sync between the audio and video. The lips don't match and it drives me absolutely nuts.

I haven't done it yet but our '25 GT 27fbt has the new 12v TVs. Walkthrough told us the TV can be connected wirelessly to the house stereo for audio. Hooking up a DVD player today to the HDMI (we still have a bunch of DVD movies we tote around - so modern, right? ). We'll see.......

Not directly answering your question I know.

Just picked our 2025 globetrotter last week. My biggest disappointment and frustration has been the AV setup. Please explain your set up for Apple tv. You have plugged apple tv directly to the tv via hdmi? And how are you getting sound from apple tv to the fusion stereo. Talk slow. Thanks

Fusion stereo 2025 Globetrotter 30. POS or is it me

Hello friends,
Working through difficulties with Fusion Apollo stereo in the new rig. Asking for help on another post about what I think is the asinine setup of no tv audio through stereo out of the box. Ridiculous. I digress

My current new problem is that I cannot get sound out of the unit. It was working yesterday. Today, Spotify via Bluetooth from ipad is playing ie being displayed on Fusion display but no audio. Turned up sound on ipad and unit. Forgot device and reconnected. Wife tried on her devices. No joy. Any suggestions Thanks in advance
