Electric Skyliner II Antenna

I just replaced the lead wire on my antenna with coax cable but I have another problem to fix.
When returning the antenna to the travel position it does not move all the way down to the rest bracket. This keeps the motor running until I manually switch it off. The antenna stops about 1 to 2 inches above the rest bracket. It doesn't seem to be bound up at that position, I can easily push it down to contact the rest but the spring on the antenna just raises it back to it's original position.
Is there an adjustment that needs to be done or another problem?
I have not been able to locate any information on repairs of the electric Skyliner.
Thanks,
Darrell
