Casting from phone to TV
On our first trip with our 2021 International 27FB we tried to watch YouTube videos from our IPhone view USB on front of the BlueRay player which let us know it was unreadable. How can we cast or get our Netflix/Sling to play from our phones or any other way to the TV? Thanks.

Can't say for iPhone but on my Samsung I had to get an adapter to plug into TV HDMI. Works fine that way. I could not get it to work through my HDMI 4x2 switch. I had to go direct to TV HDMI.

I upgraded my stock LG television to a Vizio smart television, and I use a bluetooth dongle to stream from my iPhone/iPad to the television.

We just installed a new Samsung QLED television in our Airstream. With the Smart View feature on our Samsung smartphones, we can now mirror our phone screen directly to the 32" QLED television with the press of a single button.

My 2019 LG HDTV has software built in. My Google Pixel 3A (Android) works fine. No dongles req'd. I haven't tried the iPhone 7 yet.
(I have a ChromeCast gathering dust)
Then there's hotspotting, but maybe a direct connection thru the phone would draw more economical data rates. Anybody do the math?

Be aware that if you have an iPhone that Amazon and Google sometimes (often?) prevent casting of certain media. I’ve used a USB dongle to HDMI with my iPhone and have mixed success. It seems Digital Rights Management software determines how the media can be cast. Since Apple is loathe to pay royalties for certain content delivered by streaming services the service may block some content from being delivered.
At home I use an Apple TV device and don’t experience the same issues I have using my phone and the dongle. However, some newer 4K content will not play via my older Apple TV.

Apple (and other third parties) sell a Lightning cable to HDMI adapter.
Lightning Digital AV Adapter
You will also need to purchase a regular HDMI cable of an appropriate length as an extension cord to reach the TV. Plug HDMI cable into an unused HDMI port on TV.
Not a wireless solution but it gets it done.

My issue was that my 23-footer has a very small television. I upgraded the stock 22" dumb television to a 24" Vizio smart television. There were no offerings in that small size that allowed me to stream without the dongle, unfortunately.

I've been using the Apple lightning to HDMI dongle for quite some time. Works for streaming as well as prerecorded movies. Netflix, Amazon Prime, and the various movie channel apps all work fine.

You are better off getting an AppleTV, connect it directly to the TV then mirror from your iOS to ATV. Viola!

I spent $100 to replace the LG with a Vizio Smart Fire TV. Has all my apps and can stream seamlessly (when there is internet)! Best upgrade for us so far.

We used an adapter with the lightning wire connect and HDMI connect to telecast from our iPhone 7 to the standard Samsung Airstream installs. I think it’s about $20 from Apple?

I was going to try plugging an AppleTV into our AS TV. My old office had one in every conference room, it was extremely easy to show whatever was on someone's phone or laptop and switch from device to device.
Did not know there was an lightning>HDMI adapter though, that seems like a pretty easy solution.

#Corley795 - if your TV has Wi-Fi built into it then it should be able to have YouTube directly inside the television. This is always the simplest way however your TV will need to be connected to park Wi-Fi or your phone as a hotspot. If getting your TV on Wi-Fi, or using your phone is a hotspot is too much technology to figure out, then yes, you will need an HDMI cable adapter to plug into your phone. Get the longest cable you can buy. The cable will probably need to plug into the back of the television, as few small TVs have an HDMI connector input on the side or bottom of the TV. Using your Blu-ray player adds many layers of complexity, and usually doesn't work, as you have found so far. If replacing the TV is not possible, maybe replace the Blu-ray player with a smart Blu-ray player that has Wi-Fi built inside it. Then YouTube could be shown from the menus of the Blu-ray player. Again only if connecting devices to the park Wi-Fi, or your phone's hotspot is something you want to attempt...

Roku
In my house, I have a 24" TV with a Roku device attached. In the family room, a 65" Hisense smart TV with Roku built in. With the Roku app on my phone I can cast from it to either TV wirelessly. (No, I haven't tried to see if I can do both at the same time.) Roku does work thru WiFi, so that connection would be required as other posts have described it. The Roku device is handy in that I can take it back & forth to my double-wide in FL to use with a 50" there.

We use a Firestick that plugs into a HDMI on our TV and added a 3 way plug to the outlet under the the tv. Super easy and we can use it in our house as well. Now we have a dedicated on just for the AS. I'm sure the Apple TV adaptor works just as well but the Firestick is smaller and plugs right in. No extra cords.

You can cast using google cast. I went another path, removed the BR and installed Apple TV. Works great. All apple products

Get an Apple TV 4K it will also allow you to mirror your phone to the TV’s and Bluetooth the audio through your AS’s speakers.

With Apple devices we recommend using an Apple branded dongle (lightening to HDMI), as mentioned above. What I don’t see anyone mention above is that if you “cast” from your cell connected device wirelessly, you are using very limited “hotspot data, that you will burn through before you know it. Using the dongle uses your “unlimited” data ( a much bigger bucket of data, but not really unlimited at all!)

We often camp in remote areas with no or very limited cell service. I download videos and movies to an iPad or iPhone before we leave and then use an adapter with the lightning or usb c to HDMI. I keep both adapters in the trailer so it doesn't matter what I have with me.
I took out the factory blue ray and plug directly into the HDMI in our upper cabinet. Who uses disk anymore
