Seems like the only radios these days that have decent sensitivity and selectivity are the AM/FM/CD car radios. I've got a few left over from upgrades as the technology has advanced to MP3-CDs and front panel USB ports.
So here's the deal. I'm going to put one into a boom box for the shop. I haven't picked which one, but as soon as I can find the time to see which has the best selectivity, that's the one. I'm going to use a pair of the old Airstream Learjet speakers and a FM whip antenna
($14. oops, crap, just checked and the price is now $10) that I found on another thread.
The rest are free
to good homes (shipping and handling, as it says in the small print, are "extra"
). All have the pigtail connector and three of the four have the metal retention/support insert. The follwing two will play MP3 CDs and have remote controls.
These are basic audio CD players (as well as AM/FM radios)
PM me if you have an interest in these devices.
