Seems like the only radios these days that have decent sensitivity and selectivity are the AM/FM/CD car radios. I've got a few left over from upgrades as the technology has advanced to MP3-CDs and front panel USB ports.
So here's the deal. I'm going to put one into a boom box for the shop. I haven't picked which one, but as soon as I can find the time to see which has the best selectivity, that's the one. I'm going to use a pair of the old Airstream Learjet speakers and a
FM whip antenna ($14. oops, crap, just checked and the price is now $10) that I found on another thread.
The rest are
free to good homes (
shipping and handling, as it says in the small print, are "extra"). All have the pigtail connector and three of the four have the metal retention/support insert. The follwing two will play MP3 CDs and have remote controls.
These are basic audio CD players (as well as AM/FM radios)
PM me if you have an interest in these devices.
