AV wire routing in '06 Safari

Hi everyone,

We picked up our "new" (to us) '06 safari over the weekend and one of the things I wanted to update was the AV system. Mainly I wanted to upgrade from Standard def TV to High Def TV. Simple enough, but that means I'm going to have to run new AV cable of some sort (HDMI or MCAAC) or fashion from the Right rear of the trailer (near the door) to the left middle of the trailer (near the fridge). I feel pretty comfortable with the actual work, I put in 12v DC car audio systems for years, and rewired our family room in the basement for HD video and surround sound. However, I wanted to pick the forums' collective brain before I got started to see if they could save me any unnecessary work.

Also, we have a plug and cable hookup in the front bedroom of the trailer, but no TV mount. I'm VERY hesitant on installing anything to the wall there, because the back side of that wall is the shower. Any advice on how to remove the "wood" panel there and how much clearance is on the back side of it?

I am not familiar with your floor plan, but we have a similar issue and I haven't solved it yet. We have puck lights and the skylight and fantastic fan are in line. I am considering temporarily removing the interior trim and trying to fish a wire between them. Every rivet line is a structural rib that will have to be drilled through.

Or, I may drill out all of rivets on one side of the ceiling panel and see if I can pull it down far enough to drill holes through the ribs and then fish the wire through.

So far our TV watching has been very limited and that project hasn't been worth doing.
