Antenna on Roof

How many people actually use the antenna on the roof for TV, Is Airstream still installing them?

We use the roof-top OTA antenna on our coach every time we hit the road, and plan to continue doing so with the OTA antenna on our Excella.

We have the King Omni going through the Winegard power injector. It has never brought in any but the closest of stations, which is effectively never for our style of camping. I would use it if it worked, for local news and weather.

Yes, I use my OEM antenna all the time. I use a web site " antenna point" to see what channels are in the area.

We use ours wherever we go. I've been 60 miles from our city and was able to pick up all the major stations and some of the minor ones. I don't know if there are TV station repeaters but we got great reception. It has been very rare that we've not been able to pick up at least a couple of stations wherever we've traveled. I see no need to replace it.

Airstream is still installing an amplified OTA antenna, but it's not the same one you have on an '07.

They're now using an omnidirectional disk on a fixed mount, because the ducted AC system complicated installation of the old-school directional yagi. In some conditions performance suffers, because the antenna isn't higher up and can't be pointed right at a transmitter, so the performance is less impressive out at the limits of its range but if signal is strong enough, it works fine.
