Antenna

I am so excited, I had to tell all you folks about fixing myantenna!!

The darn thing has been drooping over to one side for the last year.

I decided I would try & fix it and surprise my husband. Here is what I did:

I found a bib washer, cut the bottom of it into, put it directly behind the ball of the antenna, took a screwdriver and pushed in in place, voila! no more droop. It
stands at attention and my husband thinks I'm a genius!!

Good for you, that was pretty clever!

Hey, as long as we're talking antennas, what exactly is that antenna on the front for? Radio, I assume? There's a place to plug into it next to the table that looks like a big 1/4 plug like old hi-fi headphones used.

My 61 Overlander International had a directional tv antenna on the front. Only the mast and the directional control knob on the inside remains. I noticed a round aluminum patch panel aft of the front door, couldn't figure out what that was for till I read a spec sheet for the 60' model, and it mentions that the International package included a tv antenna and a 'police type radio antenna'. Guess it was a whip antenna like ole Andy Griffith had on his cop car in Mayberry. Explains the round patch. Mike
