40" UHD 4K TV Rotating Mount

I couldn't pass up a deal on a 40" UHD 4K Samsung. I have a 4K video camera and other uses for 4K, so it IS a legitimate need (seriously). I was struggling to figure out how to make it fit. I came across a rotating tv mount that lets me store the TV in portrait mode, which doesn't take up any more room than the old tv.

When pulled out, I can rotate the tv to regular landscape mode and orient it for straight on viewing from anywhere in the rear of the trailer (I have a 27FB EB).

Only thing left to do is straighten up the cables and install some straps to keep the unit pulled tight against the wall while traveling.

It dawned on me that I didn't take a photo of the bracket on the wall before putting it on the tv. It's roughly 18" x 30" and has 16 screws spaced around the perimeter. We used adhesive on the mount just for good measure.

Even though it looks like its far out in the aisle, its not... but when angled it doesn't protrude at all.

Wow! Can you say AWESOME??? Nice job Base. And I JUST put a new 32" in my 28'.
Maybe when football season starts again next fall...but then again....Lacrosse season starts pretty daggone soon too...as in March!! Thanks for posting this. I was just about to order a stand and antenna for the 22" that was on my wall. We were thinking of placing it on the table while we sat in our Zip Dee chairs outside. Now you've thrown in a whole new monkey wrench to the equation!

Here is the mount I ordered. I emailed them with a ton of questions and they were very helpful. They even pre-assembled the rotating mount prior to shipping.

When you look at the photo of the mount, the extension bars in both X and Y axis are for large tv's. They came off and only the solid square attaches to the tv (for a 40" samsung) That dropped a lot of weight off the extended arm.

Thanks for the thread. Great pics. Was sitting here through the nail biter Cowboys/Lions game wishing I had both larger TV and sound bar. The right team won and for next season I want MORE!!

While I like the mount (and my TT brand and location is different) I am more pleased for the supplier reference.

One final thought is to brace the base for travel. If one has never ridden in a trailer it is an eyeopener to travel just a few blocks. IIRC, contributor RobertCross has a support pictured.

Well, I finally got around to getting the TV braced. I wanted something to support the weight of it so all the stress wasn't on the wall mount. I came up with an all-thread turnbuckle system. The two large black cylinders at the bottom are neoprene bumpers. This allows me to pre-load the system with an upward force, but still maintain a 'spring' to the system so that bumps aren't translated directly to the tv mount. Its hard to see on the photo, but at the top, the system rests on the mount with another vibration isolating mount.

To disassemble, just a few turns on the turnbuckle, then the whole assembly unthreads from the foot which is permanently attached. I used loc-tite on all the joints I didn't want to spin so it works fairly easily.

Someone earlier mentioned a sound bar. I made a simple Velcro mount for my Bose Soundlink which sounds better than either the tv or the radio in the trailer. The mounts simply turn upside down out if the way when not in use. MUCH better sound.

Hi, WOW; I went from a nice 15" TV all the way up to a great 22" TV, But in actuality we seldom use a TV in our trailer. Our lap tops keep us entertained. In situations like where we camped in a friend's driveway for a few weeks, I will set-up my TV otherwise we don't use it.
