2010 25' International

I recently bought my second Airstream. I towed it back to NC from Florida and put it in my pole barn to look it over and do some repairs. The original radio antenna has burst with rust and fallen off leaving only the bottom part that is set to the roof and has the cable. I purchased a identical replacement part from Airstream Supply but do not know how to take off the original base and replace it with the new base for the new antenna top. How does a person access the bottom of the base and the bolt that adheres the base to the skin. Additionally what type of caulking is used to recover the new base from the outside. Thanks........
