Oven door

We have a 73 Argosy with original stovetop/oven. Both work well but the oven door does not seal tight and flips open when traveling. I think there should be a tighter seal (it seems loose when closed). Are the hinges weak with age? Should there be a magnetic strip to close? Anyone with a tight sealing oven out there?
