Mine glows
How about this, I've never seen one that worked and I just HAD to get the last non-functional item going. If anyone is wondering there is a 12V zener diode that tends to short and take out the current limiting resistor. A 7812 and some jumpers and VOLA, instant groovy.
I think I'll sit back and listed to Boston on the 8-track

I will be removing the 8-track from the Sovereign as I get toward redoing the front end. Anyone out there need a spare? Radio works great, but I can't seem to find an 8-track (tape? what's that?) to test the player.

I remember when my neighbor Ogg chiseled a song onto his wheel... It was the world's first CD...

Did you ever play a 4 track tape in a 8-track player? We had a Roger Miller tape that all of the vocals were on 1 channel and if you selected 1 of the 8 tracks, no-vocals!

I'm not shure if the term C(ompact) D(isk) is applicable. However I'm sure it was Rock and Roll.

When I was a kid, travelling in the family station wagon meant listening to Roger Miller, or Neil Diamond on 8track. I don't know why they never bought more than the two tapes. I guess they felt that was a complete selection
Congrats on getting your own piece of history working!

I still need the decal from the lower section of the LED Clock, if anyone has one. It should be brown and have "display on" and Set Minutes" or something like that.

HIHo, That's my problem: That resistor got Fried and I can't read the third color. Any chance of getting the value off of that one? I'd love to see that glow working again!

Hullo, Silver! I think I finally figured out what you did. LOL. I'm a little slow, I guess. So you just used the regulator to eliminate the blown resister and diode?
Also, did you find a decal for yours? If not, I could take a good pic of it and you could print it out on vinyl...? Or maybe it would even sit flat in my scanner? Let me know if you'd like me to get u that image.
Thnx
Scott
