Bench test appliances, Portland, OR

I have removed my furnace, oven/cooktop, and refrigerator from my '59 Tradewind. All are original and 47 years young. I'm looking for recommendation(s) for a competent person or shop to have these propane appliances tested for proper operation, and especially for safety. I live near Portland, but would be happy to drive to Seattle (and beyond) to have this job done correctly. I'm not planning to keep the original water heater, so I've purposely not included it in the list above.

Many thanks!

Mark

From my experience RV shops don't want anything to do with old appliances. However we have some very talented hobbyists in the area, if they want to pipe up and give you a hand.

Mark, The best shop around the Portland area is Laurelhurst Distributing located at 57th & E Burnside. They can test your appliances, repair if necessary (or possible!) or sell you new appliances. It's always a good sign when some of the shop guys are as old as your appliances. Darol

Thanks Darol! I tried RV Mobile in Everett, WA, but they don't want to deal with gear this old. I'll call these folks tomorrow and cross my fingers. I'm hoping to keep my '59 as original as possible. The exterior condition of the appliances is terrific - but I have to be sure that they will be safe to use.
