Wiring new converter from 12-volt panel

Following up on another question I had about a new converter. I did purchase a new IOTA DLS-55 amp IQ4 converter to replace the old Univolt Triad Utrad 750-6 50 amp for our '85 EXCELLA.
I left the wires attached to the 12-volt panel and cut them off at the Univolt. There is a LARGE RED wire that connects to the side the red battery cable is connected to so I assume that is positive. A LARGE WHITE wire that is connected to the same side the Black battery wire is connected. Negative I assume. There is a GROUND wire connected to the frame. No Problem. Now there is a that SMALL BLACK wire that I don't have a place to hook it to on the New Converter. New Converter has a Positive, Negative and a Ground terminal to connect the RED, WHITE, and GROUND to. What do I do with the little Black wire? Tie it off with a wire nut and leave it connected to the 12-volt panel? Take it off the panel and safe it for another day? Dispose of it? Does it possibly operate the AC/DC light on the LED board above the front window? Hopefully someone has come across the before. Thank for everyone's help with our repairs.....MAILMAN
