Which AGM for 28 rb??

I have a new Signature 2018 28’ RB that I am picking up from Orlando RV later this month and am getting AGMs put in it. But I am not 100% sure which model to get (i.e. do I need 2 12v or 2 6v). Also believe I need deep cycle batteries. The more I read on the forums the more confused I get and I can’t find the exact question. For this model.

The model the dealer said they can put In it is from Batteries Plus.

X2Power Premium AGM BCI Group 24

Please advise forum thanks

You'll have to elicit a response from someone who's tried (I'm still operating on the original batteries w/ my 2017) but I think it's possible to squeeze Group 27s in the current battery box. I'm hoping so!

At any rate, the trade-off between 6v-series and 12v-parallel pairs is that the 6v batteries are a bit "tougher" and tend to have more amp-hours at the same physical size, but if you lose 1 6v to a failure you've got zero battery power, whereas if you lose one of the 12v pair AND catch it before it takes down the other battery in the array you can theoretically limp along at half capacity until you can replace the batteries.

Lifeline's GPL-4CT is close to the size of a group 24 (it's 3/4 of an inch taller and a half inch wider, but not as long) but they cost 2x what a wet-cell group24 12v does, and $40-$50 more than a Group 24 12v Lifeline, but at least in theory you get about 50% more amp-hour capacity with the 6v pair in series.

My trailer is a 1988 so they might have changed. The group 27 fit the battery boxes just fine. And you need true deep cycle batteries. Is the converter/charger on the new trailers good for AGM's?

I’ve installed the 6V GPLs and you need to confirm two things before the install will work as intended.
1) did you order or can you make the short connecting wire between the positive and negative of the two 6V batteries?
2) did you confirm that your converter can float and if not, are you upgrading the unit? Killing the new 6V due to the cheap single stage chargers would be very expensive.

Otherwise it’s a great install.
If you didn’t already, pickup a can of red battery post protector spray to seal the job after it’s all tightened down. It really helps.

Thanks Ascsch. I have said can of spray. Confirmed #2 w Lewster . Re #1 Dealership should be responsible / taking care of install but will double check and give a heads up in case their techs haven't installed these before. Heard great things about this battery.
