Well, I am/should be committed
I did it, I bought all of the stuff to convert my batteries to Lithium, add an inverter charger, replace my battery monitor, and solar controller. All Victron stuff. The batteries will not be delivered until November so the project will not begin until mid-November. Should be interesting...I was not going to do any major mods but this seems like the way it should be.

Pictures of the equipment
Well I now have all of the stuff. One picture of the kits sent by AM Solar, except the tools are mine. The other picture of the shipment sent by Victron. Unfortunately, we have some camping trips planned now that the hot summer is over and I probably will not get to start the project until mid-November. That gives me all winter to get it done.

Something to look forward to working on. I'm not confident to do this type of work without some experienced guidance. Is it all going under the queen bed? Please post photos of your installation.

I have done a lot of electrical work, mostly on boats, so I have enough confidence to do this. AM Solar seems to have great technical support, along with Lewster. My only nagging concern is how Airstream has the trailer wired up and how hard it will be to connect this new stuff to where it needs to be in the Airstream. For example, I wonder what size cable Airstream has used for the AC power in. I am also going to replace the transfer switch for the front AC connection, that people have had problems with, while I have the bed apart.
All of this stuff will fit in the center section of the underbed storage that is a part of the outside locker. I do not use that area because it is too hard to reach from outside. I will take pictures as I go.

Look forward to posts on your progress because I hope to do essentially the same thing in a couple of years after I get a little more use out of my stock batteries.

Lithium is definitely an intriguing option. Is it necessary to do all that work when upgrading? Is it possible just to drop lithiums in? I will be following along!

You cannot charge Lithiums with the stock charger so an upgrade to a hybrid inverter charger is the way to go. Gives me inverted AC on all outlets as well as the ability to surge air conditioner startup while on only my 2k generator.

Great! But it is going to be a while. I have sorted out all of the shipped and omitted parts and generally scoped out locations. I think I am going to put the battery monitor in the door of the aft facing locker below the bed, as another poster did. No more trouble to read it there than with my first thought, on the forward face of the hanging locker in the bedroom. Also, that lower locker seems to be a good place for the surface mount inverter/charger controller as I will not need to access that much either. That puts all connections under the bed.
