VictronConnect

I was wondering how to use this. My investor as we discussed burnt up. I’m trying to access how much energy my battery has.
Airstream manual says I have VictronConnect, I downloaded app and all is says is “no unit found”.
Could this just be another airstream disappointment or does this really exist and I’m not doing something first?

VictronConnect is the app that communicates with Victron Bluetooth-enabled devices: battery monitors, charge controllers, inverters. It sounds like some Airstream’s come with Victron BlueSolar charge controllers which don’t have Bluetooth. Though I don’t know which, when or whether some come with the SmartSolar charge controllers that do have it.

Are you in the Airstream when opening the app? You may need to wait a bit for it to show up, but generally not more than a couple minutes.

So I sat in the van for a half hour, nothing comes up .Should I turn anything on , do you think because the inverter burned it blocking the victron from working?
I need to know whats in the batteries before i leave for Miane next monday?

The inverter alone shouldn’t affect this. I’d try to locate your MPPT and confirm it is a SmartSolar and actually has Bluetooth.

In the meantime, a Multimeter on the battery or your SeeLevel will get you your battery voltage as well.

I'm not familiar with the 24x but is your inverter a Victron inverter?

In my trailer, the solar charger is Victron but my inverter is another brand. The VictronConnect smartphone app will only communicate with Victron hardware. If all you want to do is see your battery power, you can easily take a multimeter straight to the batteries and check the voltage. If you want to know your battery capacity, then I would also go directly to the batteries and google the model numbers.

The inverter on our trailer will give me a battery voltage when I turn it on - this is its way of telling me when it gets to low. You don't need the inverter to check this however, any cheap multimeter (or voltmeter) will give you the info you need.

What exactly are you trying to determine? How did the inverter burn up?

The van is brand new ,the inverter remote first stopped working and now the inverter smells like burnt wires and does nothing. Contrary to what i was told when i bought the van and what the owners manual says the mppt does not have blue tooth, The solar charger doesn't even have a port to add blue tooth. I did find the mppt remote and after pressing a the button it says "battery 13.7" so i will take that as a good thing. I will be asking Airstream to replace the Victron with one that has blue tooth when they replacethe Xantrex
