Univolt replacement...No 12V shore power

Hi.

I need a new power supply and distribution panel for my 76 Sovereign.

Just 4 wires it looks like to 4 circuits that are 12VDC.

Here is a picture of what I think should be behind the stove accessible via access panel by entrance door. What I have now is a mess and a huge power supply from the 70s. Original Univolt panel is gone.

Here is picture of what I would like to have back in my rig.

Anyone know where I can build/find such a distribution panel?

Paul

You didn't ask, and I am being cheeky to stick my oar in, but... replace the old univolt with a third generation converter. Univolts fry batteries. This is one area where newer tech really is better. A 76 Sovereign is not a rare historically significant design worthy of historical restoration. If you want to keep the vibe do so, but behind the scenes upgrade some of the technology. Converters aren't that expensive.

Check out Progressive Dynamics. We’ve replaced two Univolts with 3-stage converters from this company. Good luck

+1 on the progressive dynamics, Also I got a 6 slot fuse block and added it to separate out the circuits, Blue Sea is a good one to get, also some of them have the added benefit when a fuse blows an indicator light will show which fuse it is.
For my 76 Argosy I replaced the 30A Univolt with a 45amp PD supply, went LED's all around so that helps a lot with the load on the system.

One example of fuse box:

I replaced the Univolt on my 1976 with a Progressive Dynamics PD9245 and used the original ditribution panel. Easy change over, and saved my battery!!

I found a WFCO 9855 for our 76 Excella. I went a little different route with than most people would......attached link. Only swapped out the old Univolt and kept the fuse panel. Everyone has a different choice, so you’ll have plenty to choose from......

Univolt Replacement

Based on this thread I will definitely replace mine. My question is does it have to go in the same place as the univolt? Is there a way to move all power related stuff to the back without taking everything out? We aren’t removing much and using existing cabinets and countertops.

You can locate it anywhere , but the wires( circuits) need to be extended or back fed from the new location
