Univolt/Onin

I have just purchased a '73 rear bedroom/center bath unit and am deep into redoing same. The electical has some interesting problems, to wit: The univolt is only putting out 8.75 volts so the battery is not charging. Could this be because there is a high resistance when I check the ground connection. (Neg battery post to chassy) I canot find where the main ground is located. I am aso looking to buy an owners manual/wireing schematic.
I also will be taking on the Onin propane generator, I've never seen one like this one lunger. Any assistace is welcomed. mossiyjack@gmailcom

Check the breakers, then check continuity on every fuse, even if it looks good, they cab be broken behind the metal contact sleeve.

Can't help with the univolt. However, I do have a 2.5kW propane-fueled Cummins/Onan generator, and I'll be glad to help if I can. What kind of help are you looking for?

Thanks for the offer to help. The Onan is a small unit that was factory installed. In the process of bringing this trailer back to road worthy condition, I have had to remove the stove in order to get at the Univolt. It may be a while before taking on the generator because I've opened the gas line. Some preliminary inspection is my only option at this time. I am still looking on the internet for a wireing diagram/service manual. Happy Trails, JACK

I believe the factory generator on your 73 is 12V only, just to charge the battery.
