Tired of kneeling to roll up Classic power cord

The thing I hate the most about setting up and tearing down is my power cord. My 2002 Classic 30 Slideout Rear Twin model has a power cord compartment below the road side rear storage compartment. The power cord is stored on a pullout shelf with a fixed "reel". To store the cord I either have to stay bent over for a long time while I coil the cord or kneel down to do it. Both options are getting harder every year.

I recently remembered reading this post:
https://www.airforums.com/forums/f48...rd-200709.html
Thanks Turk123!

Here is my plan:
I will install the reel described in the above post:
https://www.amazon.com/MOR-ryde-REEL...8322686&sr=8-1
which I luckily got as an open box for just over $70, in the road side rear storage compartment. I will cut the power cord as it exits the side wall into the original storage area, put a 30A male connector on the trailer end, and a 30A female connector on the bitter end of the cord. I can then roll the power cord up on the reel in the storage compartment.

Upon arrival I open the storage compartment, unspool the power cord and connect the trailer end to the connector in the old power cord storage area. Unintended advantage is I can put my EMS in the storage compartment and lock the compartment. When I'm ready to leave I can disconnect the cable and reel it up while standing. No more sore back or wet knees!

In the 70's, some Airstream models had their electric cable and water hoses on reels that were hidden between the outriggers.

I was given one of those electric reels, but the brushes were making intermittent contact. Parts were no longer available from the manufacturer so I decided to trash it. It would have been nice, with its spring loaded winder, but I also never figured out how to mount it.
