Replace parallax 7355 converter

What is a good replacement for my Bambi 19? Is it difficult to replace?

Replacement is a reasonable DIY task. It's slightly more difficult with a "generic" replacement than with a drop in. The generics are a slightly better bet than the drop in's in terms of reliability. Price wise same / same.

Wherever you go to get one, get it from somebody you can talk to on the phone. Anonymous seller named Bob on Amazon is *not* going to answer your questions in a timely fashion (if at all ...).

These days, the big question is getting one that works with both lithium and lead acid. You will pay a bit more ( $20 maybe) for that feature. I'd go for it. Most folks will upgrade to lithium over the life of a converter you buy today.

Best converter offers this kit to change out the converter module while leaving all of the 120v wiring and breakers in place.
I installed one for a friend. It took me about 3 hours.

While you are at the website, look around the website for the contact phone number. Every time I have spoken to anyone at Best Converter, they have always been very helpful!

Yes, talk to Randy at Best Converter. I got this Progressive Dynamics replacement for my 8355, which is also capable of being programmed by virtue of a jumper to charge lithium batteries. It is a direct replacement for 7355/8355 and took me about an hour. Only 4 wires to hook up.
