Renogy 100AH AGM Battery Hardware
Trying to find hardware to fit the screw terminals on these batteries. Have tried to covert screw to post type but all I can find online are 3/8 screw conversions and Renogy web site doesn't show connectivity hardware for these types of batteries.
Anyone out there have these kinds of batteries and made hardware connections without going to a crimp on spade connector?
THNX-

I do not know the answer. I am following because I am think about buying these batteries in the next few days when we get home. I have ascertained that they have a very rare thread size.

I tried calling Renogy technical support. I was told the screw size is 125mm. A very common size, NOT. Renogy doesn't even sell a conversion kit or a terminal wire kit for these batteries. No use disclaimer on the site or on the product description.
I tried using a 3/8" conversion from screw terminal to a post terminal to no avail. Threads too large.
I bought the batteries from Amazon. Just posted a nasty review. Cannot return the batteries now as the time expired.
I live not far from their Ontario offices. So... small claims is not out of the question, if it comes to that.

Hi
Simple answer is to put ring terminals on the ends of the cables and put metric blots through them.

Renogy specs say these batteries come with the common M8 thread inserts.
To add posts, have you seen these? These are just one of many available online.

Clark, no I haven't. But this is what I was looking for, Thanks.
The correct terminal bolt size of this 100Ah AGM battery is M8×1.25×20mm from an e-mail I received from Renogy. Disregard the sizing I stated earlier, it was from a phone conversation and the Renogy rep was not clear.

Renogy 100AH AGM Battery Hardware
The ones I linked are just typical, not necessarily what I’d use. The ones that are a brass post attached with a stainless through bolt would be preferable. Just torque this bolt to the same specs Renogy recommends for the fasteners they provide with the battery.

I already ordered both. I liked the look of the brass with the bolts too. I'll see if they fit as well as they look.

Bill- I'm out of town back this weekend. One order should be in my parcel box now. The other will arrive early next week. I will give feedback once I have installed them. -Hugh

OK got the brass terminals with the bolts on top. They fit the battery nicely. Whoopy. Looks like exactly the same bolts that came with the Renogy batteries and are interchangeable. Next job is to install these really heavy puppies in the AS. I expect from here on minimal battery box wiring upgrades will be necessary. But.....I could be surprised.

The county where I live accepts batteries and electronics at their recycling center. Have also dropped off batteries at Camping World. I am sure there are some similar types of drop offs near you. One note, you have to be a resident of the County to use their facilities. If you are out of state or out of county and buy AGM's locally be sure they accept your used ones before buying .

Haven't had a chance yet, been working. AS is located 20 minutes away in a covered warehouse. Been wondering about that too, but thanks for bringing that one up. Supposed to be a group 24, but maybe not. We'll see. I have in the box AGMs that I bought from Camping World. Guess why I'm wanting to replace them?

Why do you want to replace the AGM's. I am still deciding whether to put in AGM's or Lithiums.

I looked at lithium. Can of worms to find a lithium charger without doing a complete rewiring of existing system. I pulled out my existing system in anticipation of doing the upgrades necessary to eventually going lithium, but the upgraded charger for my system required me to disconnect all the DC wiring from the fuse block and all the AC wiring from the circuit breaker. What a boon-dogle. Then when I got the new charger and box there were few wiring instructions' and I decided to put back the original charger, but even though I took pictures and created a wiring diagram I made a mistake I got a white DC - wire on a white AC neutral bus bar. Effectively b+ to ground. Smoke? nope but close. Took me a week, on my knees with a Volt Ohm meter attaching each wire one at a time. Tried having someone knowledgeable about AS or RVs come out and pay to have it done. Nope. No such animal. Persistence and time paid off and I got it working again with no apparent damage, so far. So no. Not interested at all in lithium, unless it came from the factory that way. I like KISS. (keep it simple stupid for me) But if you like the adventure, be my guest.

Hi
Wiring in a converter / charger is a very normal RV task. It is not Airstream specific. Any local RV tech should be able to handle the job. Likely cost in most areas would be < $200.
