Bill-
Length of the Renogy could be a problem. LXWXH actually measured +/- 12 1/8"L X 6 7/8"W X 8 1/2"H. Published group 24 dimensions are: 10.25"LX6.8"WX8.875"H. So they are longer by about 1" on either end. We'll see if there's room. Seems I remember there is about 2" for and aft of group 24's that are in there. Probably have to remove the styrofoam battery holders under the batteries or modify them to fit. Plan to do it this week-end

Thanks for the information. For various reasons I decided to buy AGM batteries instead of doing the lithium conversion at this time. I was able to fit 105 amp hour group 31 batteries from Batteries and Bulbs into the original compartments. Barely. I had already installed a 4 stage converter. We do not run an inverter and have a propane fridge. A CPAP is my main power concern. My measurements and calculations indicate that the AGM's will do the job for me. I carry in the truck a lithium backup supply for the CPAP for emergency use if I get low on power. The downside to the AGM is that they charge more slowly and I will have to run the generator more than with the lithium. We do not boondock a whole lot. I was running Walmart flooded cell batteries at about 75 amp hour (says 109 in the Walmart description but that is at 1 amp rating) so the new batteries will give me the additional edge I was looking for.

Pulled the old Camping World AGM batteries. The battery holder in the bottom is actually PVC and will have to be modified for the Renogy batteries to fit. Measured the box and the Renogy batteries will fit but might be a bit tight. We'll see.

In my earlier post, I was initially put off by the lithium because I ordered a 4 stage charger based on the charger maker model in the owner's manual, which turned out to be wrong. (You have to use the Model # Maker tags on the unit) By the time I had figured that out I had already disassembled the old one and had the new one 95% installed only to discover that the wiring bundle to the DC side wouldn't physically fit. Had to remove and reinstall the original charger.

Since then I have found Best Converter, and I think their Boondocker 60 AMP 4 stage will do the job for me. It doesn't require me to rewire the whole DC fuse terminals. Once I do that I will reconsider lithium in a few years.

Bill, how on earth did you get 2 GRP31s to fit?

I couldn't shoehorn in the Renogy GRP24. Removed battery cover, still no go. Gave them to neighbor who had a boat. I am thinking about now going with Lifeline Group 24 12vdc AGMs or 2 6v AGMs in series. Apparently not all Group 24's have the same or even close dimensions.

I was under the impression that the connectors in the link would fit, but they won't screw in more than a little bit. Can someone point me to something just like this that definitely fits? Thanks.
