Rebuild battery boxes or not ?

Was wondering if anyone has rebuilt battery box's in a 1967 landyaht sovereign there located each side of lp tanks in front of trailer. I am wondering if I just want to get some sealed batteries and seal up battery area's. I guess the box's if you can find them are like 300 bucks each.

The battery in the 66, 67 and 68 Airstreams, were all in the one stop center, at the rear end of the trailer.

sealed batteries (even AGM's) still should have a properly vented battery box (by code).

Just Resto it!

Don't replace your battery stand, just pull it out, clean it up and put some POR-15 on it, then paint and reinstall. It will never again be an issue for you. I did mine, came out nice. Keep it as original as you can. Also its a good idea to install a simple shut off switch between the cables when winterizing. Saves your battery from discharging.

I don't think those boxes are original. Airstream put the battery in the back as Andy mentioned, and also never had more than one battery in those years

Which year are you asking about? Your original post said 67, but I notice under your name you list a 77 sovereign.. Somewhere in that time frame they did have 2 battery doors in the front
