Parallax 555 to Powermax Boondocker1260HW upgrade.

We recently upgraded our parallax 555 with a Boondocker 1260HW in our 2012 International Serenity 30'. We made a video about it, I hope some of you will find it helpful.

that a 12 volt 60 amp unit?? I upgraded recently as well going from the old parallex 60 amp 12 volt to the powermax 100 amp unit which I see now is not worth the extra money at least for me it appears.

All my lights have been changed to LED from the fluorescent (1.2 amp each) kind. Full load amp draw with every light on is less than 9 amps. I still have one light to change and the patio and light by the steps is still regular bulbs. In thinking about it the 55amp, which cost less, could work just as well in charging the batteries which are going solar and GC 6 volts for the most part.

Yep it’s the 60 amp model. It was recommended by Randy at Best Converters as the best replacement for our needs. We also have all LED’s. I have a Victron battery monitor that’s waiting to be installed. I’m curious to see our amp draw, but I don’t think it’s very much.
