Only Interstate batteries will fit?

Just purchased a 2000 30' Excella. The previous owner advised me to only use Interstate batteries in the trailer. He claims that he once attempted to use a couple of other brands and they caused a problem. The problem, he says, is that non-Interstate batteries are very difficult to get out of the trailer once installed. He claims he had to slide a piece of flashing under the batteries to allow them to slide back out.

What's different about Interstate batteries that allows them to slide in and out properly, whereas other brands have an issue?

i ran into one problem. the batteries with the posts towards the middle, didn't clear the notch in the top of the opening by more than a hair.

something i learned here is to insert the battery with the positive end first and connect the negative post after the battery is mostly inserted and the pos post is away from the top of the door frame. reverse to remove.

i've used that 'kryptonite' plastic packaging as a protective shim.
