OEM battery box replacement
I have searched the forum but find the only threads dealing with battery boxes are those boxes located on the A frame. I need to place the original interior plastic battery box on my 1980 31' Airstream.
Short of drilling out the rivets holding the battery door frame on the trailer, as specified in my Airstream repair manual, is there another method to removing the old battery box. I do not readily see any screws or whatever holding the box to the interior wall.
I have looked at OEM battery boxes online and there are not any holes predrilled in the flange. This tells me you have to drill your own or it is held in place by external clamps/frame/glue of some type.
Short of cutting the interior wall material bigger to go exploring, is there a better way?
