No DC power

I have a stock 2023 International FBQ and an electrical question. When I am plugged into shore power, I only have 12V DC power if I turn on my inverter—no lights, no water pump, no DC fridge. All the 120V outlets work without turning on the inverter. My battery is receiving a charge from the converter with 13.6 volts at the battery.

Basically, I can only get my 12V system to work with the inverter on, even when plugged into shore power. I checked all fuses in the WFCO 8900 and the 40-amp fuses in the converter. Is this normal? If not, any ideas on what might be wrong?

I could bring it in for warranty service, but it's a 5-hour drive to the dealer. If I can fix it myself, it would be worth some minor expense and time. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Make sure the use/store switch is in use position. After that you could check connections on the use/store switch and the solenoid that it controls.

It appears that the switch is my inverter on/battery disconnect by the entry door. This switch seems to be required to be on for any of the systems to work, even when plugged into shore power. This seems incorrect, as the manual says to turn this on only when not connected to shore power and only when I need to use an inverted outlet. There seems to be no crossover of power through the converter, but if the inverter switch is on, everything works.

That's strange on most Airstreams the so called battery disconnect by the door has nothing to do with the inverter.

"Inverter on" and "Battery disconnect" are usually 2 independent switching. On my Airstream they're far apart... the "Battery disconnect" with a switch marked "Store/Use" is low, by the door (so you can turn it on as the first thing before going into the trailer.) My inverter switch is above the galley counter, near the SeeLevel meters for tank and battery status.

Can you take a photo or two of the switch panel(s) and post them here?
