Newly installed converter, now a pinging sound
Today, my husband and I finished installing a new PD4655VL on our 2016 20' FC. Turned it on and we saw a solid green light and started feeling really good about it. We have AGM batteries that we've been maintaining with a Battery Tender and it's been keeping the voltage at 10.7-10.6. We had realized a few days ago on a trip that our converter had gone out and our batteries were going south...
After about 30 minutes we started hearing a pinging sound coming from where the inverter is located under our bed.The converter maintained a solid green light. So on the side of caution, we promptly disconnected the battery.
Any ideas as to what might be happening? Thanks everyone.
