Inverter Circuits Not Working

HI All. Help please. I overloaded my inverter circuit. Now none of the Inverter circuits work nor does the Inverter Remote light come on to trurn the 12V system Off or ON.

I have the Inteli-Power 9200, which seems to be working fine. The Manual button allows me to cycle to the Normal mode, which the green light blinks rapidly.

I believe this happened in the past, but the system came back on.

Any suggestions on a repair would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Freedomrider

The Intellipower you mention is the converter-charger, not your inverter.

Your inverter probably has a fuse in it (not certain which inverter they used in 2013 but my '17 is a WFCO.) The fuse for the WFCO isn't an "every hardware store" sort of fuse, I ordered 3 when I burnt mine. I had plugged a space heater into one of the pass-through outlets and it took down all of the pass-through outlets when the fuse opened. That's where I'd start looking if I were in your position... that would take out both the pass-through and the ability to use battery power to energize the inverter outlets.

Thinking more about this... your '13 may have dedicated inverter outlets that aren't pass-through. There may also be a 12V fuse inline between the battery and the inverter, the one I had to replace was on the chassis of the inverter itself.

Thanks DKB-SATX. Just realized I had a response. I think you are right. I can't find an external fuse.

I think my best option is to get it inspected by qualified technician. Thanks again, your input is most helpful.

I answered your other post but I'm posting my response here also.

The previous owner of my AS overloaded the inverter using a vacuum cleaner. I was told about it and was able to fix it myself. My inverter is 600 watts and has 2-35 amp ATC fuses inside. DISCONNECT THE BATTERY, then open up the inverter and look for the fuses. They are blade fuses, standard automotive, available on Amazon.

There is an expensive in-line 110 amp class-T fuse between the inverter and batteries. This will short out VERY easily, experience talking here. Disconnect the batteries before working on the inverter.

Thanks richw46. I am inclined to try this. It makes sense. If there are issues can I PM you?

Sure, no problem. Happy to help if I can. Mine is a WFCO 600 watt inverter.

It's been a while but as I recall I just had to remove the top and you can see the 35 amp ATC fuses. If you need to remove the inverter from the AS, there are the positive and negative wires on the front that go to the batteries, with the in-line fuse. I managed to touch the positive to the negative with a screwdriver and shorted the connection, immediately blowing the in-line fuse. It was just a tiny spark but that's all it took, it's not a time delay. Mine does not go through the Use/Store switch so I had to disconnect the battery cables when I did the reinstall.

I found 35 amp replacements on Amazon for about $30 (bag of 25). It took a while to find them and we were on the road. I just put in 30 amp fuses until we got home again. You can go lower amp, never higher amp.

Also look on the chassis of the inverter for the fuse that David (DKB_SATX) mentioned. My AS is older so there was probably an inverter model change in the interim.
"There is a fuse on the chassis of the inverter. Littlefuse KLDR15 I believe. It's not an every-hardware-store item. 15A AC fuse. I did the same thing, and I ordered 3 of the fuses while I was buying in case I or someone else does the same thing again." -David

Much Thanks, richw46. Your advice was spot on. I found the 2-35 Amp fuses blown in the
Inverter. I have ordered the fuses from Amazon. Can't wait to see my Inverter switch operating again. I hope people with a similar model and issues find your post.

People like you make this an awesome forum. I pray the same blessing found you many times over. Thanks again.
