Interstate 19 House Battery drain

New 2020 Interstate 19 with two new house batteries. Originals replaced after sale since unit sat at dealership several months without charging up.

Anyone having problems Boondocking?

With only the DC Frig running I get a critically low battery message after only about 12 hrs use. Even with solar panels catching some sun.

Any tips on extending life of batteries? Just seems like two fully charged batteries should last longer. Dealership in the dark " new unit not sure why?"

thanks for any suggestions.

More than likely something else is drawing down batteries ....inverter turned on? Radio? Storage lights ? I would have a Victron 712 installed, that way you will always know how many amp hrs you are consuming

The Interstates, and probably the others, as well, are notorious for draining batteries. You'll probably find about all you can do is conserve all you can. One biggie you can probably do something about is the inverter. Use a manual cutoff switch for it, since it draws a significant amount of power even when off.

My 2020 19 has a manual cutoff located next to the inverter under the front passenger seat as in this photo.

Is that the master disconnect, or wired only to the inverter?

The master disconnect, which is similar to this one, is located in the rear under the sofa seat and can also be activated by the power off switch near the sliding door.
